Weekly goal August 20-27- Be 163-point-something or less, 100 WW fitness points Weekly Goal 25 June to 1 July 2018: Be 166-point-something or lower. 90 WW fit points. Met late July. Sigh. Weekly goal 5 June-12 June 2018: Get to my next micro-goal of under 167.5, which will also mark 20 pounds lost; 90 WW fit points. MET 24 JUNE. FINALLY! Weekly goal 21 May-28 May 2018 of getting into the 160's met. YAY ME! Goals week of 7-13 May 2018: 1.I will continue to put in my retainer as soon as possible after dinner each night. 2. I will reach 168-point.something by Monday. 3. I will earn at least 90 WW Fitpoints by Monday 4. I will continue to contemplate how I will handle the unwanted remarks once I receive regarding my weight loss choices by Monday. Good grief! I am SO TIRED of being overweight! Can I get an "Amen"? Several years ago a "terrible awful" happened in my life and I turned to food for comfort, gaining back most of the weight I'd worked so darned hard to lose. I've finally reached a point where I have had enough and am ready to do the hard work of becoming the person God intends me to be- inside AND out. "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NASB) Obesity is the sin that no one talks about. Am I being judgmental? Yep. Of myself. I struggle with turning to food for comfort instead of obeying God. But we believers need to wake up and face the facts about our own sin, which we wear on the outside, before we go judging others concerning their sins. God created food for us to enjoy. But he didn't create it for us to overindulge. I'd like to see 155 and size 6 or so again. Yep, as a repeat weight gainer and loser, I have some work to do. But I'm not sugar coating it anymore. With God's help, I can do this. I've done it before. It will be worth it. Are you in it with me? Well............... Let's go!

My Goals:
My overall goal is to take care of this body God has entrusted me with.

Most motivating goal: Keep my family history of diabetes and heart disease at bay. My best chance to be around for kids & grand-kids is to be as lean as possible.

Keep my muscle and bone density as I age!

At 5'9", I want to get consistently into a size 6 and put on oodles of leg muscle!

Keep the reactive hypoglycemia I have when I am heavier at bay.

If God does decide to take me early, have my organs in excellent shape so they can save/extend the lives of others. What better way to leave than helping someone else stay?


My Program:
I am a WW member.

My current lifting program is rotating body parts 4 days a week. Wednesdays I do a long yoga or stretching session, and weekends are off. I need them off, although I truly enjoy lifting weights!



Personal Information:
I am an assistant manager at My Sister's Closet, a local not-for-profit that helps low-income and at-risk women get back into the work force. We run a high-end resale boutique to both fund these efforts and provide interview and work wear for these sweet ladies. It's very rewarding work!

After years of being in the Air Force and then a military wife my husband retired and we have permanently landed in my husbands hometown of Bloomington, Indiana. I love it here- It's home. I am originally from the SF Bay Area. In my adult life I have lived in Illinois, Southern California, Virginia, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, and here in Indiana. Stick a fork in us, we're done!

We have a total of seven kids, four of which emerged from my body and three from the body of my ex-wife-in-law. :-) Each a daughter and a son, both in college, live at home (Go IU!). We also have four beautiful grandchildren. Two each boys and girls. I LOVE being a grandma!
