I'm 75. another years has gone by, so now I am 75,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

My name is Linda, I am 75 year old, or as I say 60-15. I am married to my very best friend, and a retired farmers wife, so I have worn a verity of hat. I have 3 grown sons, none who live near, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Either way works for me. I rather like our challenge as is. It makes me think and keeps me accountable. As far as ankles and shoulder, we just adapt where we need to. I can do things I couldn't do when we started. Now that I can move more, it should help the direction of my scale.

Yeah, bagpipes are not church friendly. That would never happen where I occasionally sing in Tampa, thanks be. The small challenges are helping me too. It's encouraging to see what I can do now that I couldn't a month ago. Still being careful not to overdo. emoticon

Yes! I can do gentle slow leg lifts as long as nothing hurts.
    Leg lifts
    Wall/counter pushups
    Hand weights
Low carb (blew it already this AM)
No PM snacks except for small something with meds
Do my 8 glasses of water
Keep pushing just a little on stairs. Did half a floor yesterday slowly and carefully with no ill effects except knees. Knees are out of shape on doing stairs.
