I'm 73. another years has gone by, so now I am 74,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

    Wed MISSIONS

Easy: dash home, eat quick soup/salad dinner, and head off in the traffic across the bay for choir. That doesn't sound inviting, but the list of music for tonight's rehearsal makes the trip worthwhile.

I'll be lucky if I have energy to do anything when I get home. Hm. I could stop at Trader Joe's if I'm up to it. I always have a grocery list for there. I do wish one were a little closer. I'll see how I feel. So far I'm having a pretty good day. Speaking of carbs...the cafeteria was serving their holiday feast meal today, so of course I had to go down and enjoy it, cherry cobbler and all. MORE carbs!

Linda, I love that you are working so hard on your balance. I have realized, after my knee surgery, that balance is one of the most important things! So it may not whittle away any pounds but it might just save your bones someday! Good for you!!!

A week or so ago I made acorn squash and baked it filled with thin-sliced apples, mixed the apples with a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and cardamom...delish! Got the idea from Sableness' blog.

Hi there! "IG" is Instagram. It's an app / social media site that is nothing but pictures. Kind of like the Spark "pep" app. Most people will post pics of their food for accountability, or exercises, or their dogs LOL It's silly, but fun.

So, yeah. When the person made rude comments on a "fun" site, it just irked me.

Thanks for the comment ! Hope YOUR day is going fantastical and I shall e'ya around
