Here's to health and happiness in 2019!

I've made many improvements since January 1, 2010, when I first joined SparkPeople, and I'm still working to be a better me. This program helps me to focus more on my health, and I have made many great SparkFriends whose strength, motivation, and encouragement have helped me along this life journey.

Fitness Minutes: 50,029

My Goals:
~ Get down to a lower weight that will allow me to be healthier and have more energy.
~ Feel better about myself when I look into the mirror.
~ Learn to choose and eat heathier foods for a life-long lifestyle.
~ Keep a positive attitude.
~ Be at peace with myself and my surroundings.
~ For 2019: Journal everyday & bind at least one handmade book a week.


My Program:
~ Earn Spark points by using web search to access "The Daily Motivator" on greatday.com -- a wonderful resource!
~ Get at least 8 hours of sleep per night.
~ Exercise for at least 10 minutes every day.
~ Stay hydrated.
~ Practice portion control without cutting out favorite foods.
~ Read motivational quotes and articles daily.
~ Remember to be thankful for the progress I've made so far.



Personal Information:
~ I am a retired public librarian living in the hill country in South Texas.
~ I enjoy book arts, mixed-media collage, calligraphy, reading, poetry, gardening, and tea.

My word for the year 2019 is "Intention."

    Good morning! emoticon Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog "Things to Do While Sheltering at Home" - glad you enjoyed it or got some ideas. Re your memories - I remember seeing punishments like that at my grammar school when I was a kid. I was too scared to cause problems because I saw what happened to other kids. Amazing any of us survived some of the experiences from our childhood. I also remember a young cousin getting me in trouble with my parents when I was like 7 years old.. she would do something wrong and then blame me. Ugh. emoticon Until she got caught in the act and the charade was over. emoticon Thanks also for the well wishes and prayers for my family. Have a great Sunday! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hello! emoticon you so much for continuing to read and follow along on my 100 days blog journey. At the moment, I'm glad we are able to get exercise and I pray that doesn't change for any of us.
